Cast iron remains the gold standard for demanding load conditions. Proudly made in America, our valve and curb boxes are engineered for a seamless fit and consistent performance, meeting ASTM A48 Class 35 standards for exceptional resistance to stress, corrosion, and extreme environments.
Bison™ ABS Plastic
Lightweight Strength Delivered.
Bison delivers robust performance at up to 80% lighter than cast iron. Uniquely engineered thick-walled ABS plastic combines strength, adaptability, and American craftsmanship for lasting reliability in the field. Available in 2½” curb boxes.

Our CIP boxes pair a cast iron top, delivering robust strength at grade, with your choice of our Bison™ or ABS plastic bottom section. Designed to fit seamlessly together, this hybrid solution delivers easier handling and installation with reduced shipping and labor costs.
ABS Plastic
A better plastic. A smarter choice.
Thinner than Bison™, but thicker and stronger than typical industry offerings, our ABS plastic products deliver dependable strength, stability, and easy handling. Ideal for cost-sensitive projects that still demand long-lasting performance, weather resistance, and installation ease across a wide range of utility applications.
Eclipse-Style (Erie Pattern Rod-Style) Curb Boxes
These cast iron rod-style service boxes provide protection and easy access to ¾” to 1″ curb stops. Add an enlarged base to accommodate larger 1¼”, 1½”, and 2″ curb stops or large ball valves.
1" & 1¼" Eclipse (Erie Pattern Rod-Style) Boxes
An Erie/Eclipse pattern curb box is a multi-piece, telescoping cast-iron and steel vertical sleeve assembly featuring a built-in operating rod. The top is fitted with an adjustable pipe section and a secure, removable lid.
- Durable, American-made cast iron
- Type A (available in 1″ & 1¼”) with brass plug lid or Type B (1″ only) with two-hole lid
- 12″ height adjustment with steel pipe top section
- Lid lettering: WATER or SEWER (Type A or B); FIRE (Type A only)
- Standard bottom fits 1-1¼” curb stops. Enlarged base fits 1½-2″ curb stops.
- Optional forged rod assembly with carbon or stainless steel
Eclipse Box Enlarged Base
Provides additional clearance for larger curb stops while extending the overall length of the Eclipse curb box.
Designed for use with Eclipse (Erie-Style) curb boxes, the enlarged base accommodates larger curb stops.
- Accommodates up to 2″ curb stops
- Adds 2¾” to the overall box height
- Fits both 1″ and 1¼” Eclipse boxes
- An Eclipse box can be ordered with the enlarged base or a standard Eclipse box can be fit directly over the enlarged base
Eclipse Box Cast Iron Sleeve
Cast iron sleeve that fits around the upper section of the Eclipse curb box. Prevents concrete from adhering to the lid, and is adjusted to the finished concrete level during installation.
Designed for use with Type-B Eclipse (Erie-Style) curb boxes.

2½" Cast Iron Curb Boxes
2½" Curb Boxes: Top & Lid Styles
Our 2½” curb boxes are offered in three top section styles, each paired with a secure pentabolt lid to meet different installation and site requirements.
- Old Style: Lid overlaps the rim for a traditional fit; Available in cast iron and CIP
- New Style: Lid fits inside the rim for a cleaner, more secure profile; offered in cast iron, Bison™, CIP and ABS plastic
- New Style Flush: A variation of New Style designed to sit flush with the top section—ideal for paved or high-traffic areas; available in cast iron, Bison™, CIP and ABS plastic
2½" Cast Iron Buffalo Curb-Style Boxes
Built for strength, reliability, and long service life. A proven choice for dependable water access, our cast iron curb boxes deliver solid performance and a precise fit in the field.

A patented Bingham & Taylor solution trusted for over a century, these cast iron repair lids solve common field problems like lost lids, broken lugs, or damaged curb box tops. The jaws of the lid expand to bear securely against the inside wall of the box, restoring full function without requiring replacement of the entire assembly.
- Material: Durable, American-made cast iron for lasting quality
- Options: New Style Flush, New Style, Old Style (for use with centering ring), and Old Style
- Compatibility: Fits any 2½” curb box
- Can be substituted for any standard curb box lid

Proven design for smaller service applications. Constructed from durable American-made cast iron, these boxes deliver reliable access and long service life. Ideal for water services up to 1½”.

- Lid: Old Style, fitting just over the outside of the rim

- Use: 3″ shaft for services up to 1½”
3" Curb Boxes: ABS Plastic 306 Rim + Minneapolis-Style Bell
This durable curb box pairs a standard-thickness ABS plastic body with a 306 cast iron rim (6″ height), old-style cast iron lid, and a Minneapolis-style bottom bell. Provides strength, visibility, and dependable access in water applications.
- Material: Durable, ABS plastic top & bottom sections with cast iron rim & lid
- Adjustment style: Slide-type only
- Rim & Lid: 306-style cast iron rim with 6″ height; Old-style lid

Extensions
A fast, cost-effective way to raise service boxes to grade without requiring excavation. Choose either screw-type and slide-type adjustment. Extensions accommodate changing street elevations, repaving projects, or landscaping adjustments. Available in cast iron, Bison™, and ABS plastic material and in a variety of lengths.
Locking Lids
Securing your valves is critical to system reliability.
Available for most box styles and sizes, our locking lids secure in place for added stability and protection.
Stabilizers
Vital to maintaining valve alignment and reliable operation.
Stabilizers center the operating nut in the box, preventing shifting, misalignment, or damage during installation and backfilling. They reduce wear on components, and extend service life.
